Solid
Waste
Sailer Environmental’s staff brings
years of experience, both in government
and working for private clients, to each
solid waste management project. We have
consulted on the permitting of sanitary
landfills, construction & demolition
landfills, transfer stations, medical waste
facilities, leaf compost facilities and
waste oil recycling facilities throughout
the New York metropolitan area, New England,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Ohio.
SEI’s
staff has also prepared and implemented
closure plans and disruption plans for non-hazardous
waste landfills and open dumps ranging in
size from several hundred cubic yards to
several acres. Our experience in landfill
closure ranges from disruption and removal
of solid waste (to obtain clean closure)
to the construction of caps, cutoff walls,
leachate collection systems, and methane
gas venting systems. SEI staff has conducted
numerous ground water and methane gas monitoring
programs to aid in regulatory compliance.
Prior to founding Sailer Environmental,
firm president Edward Sailer had been involved
in the permitting and closure of over 100
major solid waste facilities in New Jersey
and numerous other solid waste projects
as a consultant.
