Litigation Support

The professional staff of Sailer Environmental, Inc. provides litigation support in federal and state courts, and administrative tribunals throughout the northeast and midwest portions of the United States. SEI’s experts are qualified in the fields of solid and hazardous waste and site remediation including compliance with the National Contingency Plan. Our professionals are qualified as expert witnesses in federal courts, administrative tribunals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, and State courts in Connecticut and New Jersey.

Our experts have provided extensive litigation support in the form of oral and written testimony (Affidavits, Certifications and Expert Reports) in enforcement actions and permit hearings before the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the Ohio Hazardous Waste Facility Siting Board, and the Pennsylvania Environmental Hearing Board. Firm President Edward N. Sailer served as an Expert Witness for the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (1979-1985) in enforcement actions brought by the New Jersey Attorney General against numerous sanitary landfill and transfer station operators for violations of the New Jersey Solid Waste Management Act.

In addition to providing expert testimony in enforcement cases, SEI also provides litigation support to parties involved in civil litigation regarding environmental liabilities and contaminated property.
